II. ANALYSIS OF PROTEIN MARKERS ON EXOSOMES

Single EV analysis  is a powerful tool for profiling of proteins on large EVs, but often failures to detect pathological markers on small and medium EVs due to its sensitivity is not enough to detect low represented proteins. We offer the services of highly sensitive bead-based flow analysis of membrane protein markers on EVs:

  • The format of the assay is one tube/ one marker which avoids obtaining a false negative signal from less represented markers and increases the sensitivity of the assay.  
  • As few as 5x10^5 EVs are needed for the detection of CD81 and CD9 tetraspanins. 
  • The detection limit for another protein marker (EpCam, CD44, CD166, CD117 and GATA3 and some others) depends on their density on the EV membrane and varies in the range 3x10^6 -10^9 EVs.
  • We are also developing custom assays on request.
